I received this book for free through GoodReads FirstReads competitions

I thought that this was a really brilliantly written novel, that grabs hold of the readers attention and does very well to keep hold of it all the way through until the very last word. This novel shows you the reality of what it is like for an English woman to marry a man from Baghdad, how the two very different cultures manage to forget their differences and focus on their love for one another. This book is a very inspirational and uplifting type of novel, it is one that shows you that no matter what might be 'in the way' of two people being together love conquerors all.
This is the first book that I have read by this author and I would definitely happily read more books by this wonderful and talented author! This shows you the truthful and raw inside story as to what really happens in a relationship with mixed faiths. I was extremely happy when I won this book and just couldn't wait to dive into it and start reading and this book did not disappoint me at all I absolutely loved it and would definitely recommend it too other people.
