I received this book for free through Goodreads First Reads

I thought this was a very good book written extremely well by Jarsolav Kalac. It was a book that kept me reading and reading until the early hours of the morning. It is a book I would happily read again and would recommend to anybody to give it a read and see what they think of it. It was a true joy to be able to read this book I was very happy to have won it!.
This book is about a young man who was raised in Soviet Czechoslovakia who has emigrated to South Africa. This book is full of witchy women, crucified frogs, exploding pigs, black humour and magic realism. This is the type of book that can easily capture the readers attention and carry them on the journey that the author is creating making them imagine the surroundings that they have created, the words they use to describe the places and people paint a vivid image into the readers mind. This book features tales that are entwined in other tales that make the book one that is very hard to put down, the tales dance together in a beautiful dark tango. This is one of the best books I think I have ever read. I would say that people should definately give this book a chance.
